Andriy Shapowal joined Investure in January 2011 and is a partner at the firm. Before becoming Co-Chief Investment Officer in summer 2021, he served as the Head of Manager Selection. Prior to joining Investure, Andriy was a Managing Director at the University of Virginia Investment Management Company (UVIMCO) where he was responsible for UVIMCO's equity and hedge fund portfolios. Before working at UVIMCO, he was a member of the investment team at JPMorgan Partners and its predecessor firm, Chase Capital Partners, where he participated in a wide variety of direct public and private equity investments. 

Andriy earned his BS with highest honors from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and an MBA from Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Throughout the 1990s, Andriy represented the United States in international soccer competitions as a member of the U.S. National Team programs.
